Alhaji Kashim Ibrahim-Imam stands as a distinguished son of King’s College Lagos — a statesman, philanthropist, and leader whose life and service exemplify the College’s watchwords of Faith, Unity, and Brotherhood.
His illustrious journey through public life has been marked by unwavering commitment to education, governance, and the strengthening of Nigeria’s democratic institutions. Over the decades, he has held roles of weight and responsibility in our national life, discharging them with rare foresight, integrity, and a steadfast dedication to the common good. Beyond the corridors of politics and policy, Alhaji Kashim Ibrahim-Imam has been a tireless advocate of reform, philanthropy, and the empowerment of young Nigerians to inherit and carry forward the mantle of leadership.
Within the King’s College Old Boys’ Association, his name is etched in gold. As President Emeritus, he steered the Association with wisdom and clarity of purpose, galvanising Old Boys across generations and regions, and strengthening the Association’s institutional capacity. His return as President at this pivotal hour is not merely a continuation of past service, but a renewed call to leadership, as KCOBA embarks on its most ambitious endeavour yet — the revitalisation of King’s College and the ₦100 billion Endowment Project.
In testament to his devotion, Alhaji Kashim Ibrahim-Imam has made an extraordinary personal donation of ₦1 billion, thereby setting both a standard of sacrifice and a rallying point for the entire community of Old Boys. This singular gesture is not only an act of philanthropy, but also a profound declaration of faith in the timeless mission of King’s College: to shape men of character, learning, and service to nation and world.
Today, as we present him once again to the KCOBA community and to the nation at large, we do so with pride, gratitude, and renewed hope. For in Alhaji Kashim Ibrahim-Imam, King’s College has found not only a loyal son, but a custodian of its legacy and a torchbearer of its destiny.
